Erotica with a Cause

On September 21st, 2013 at 49 Dunlevy Ave - DuJour Marketing is teaming up with renowned artist and curator Fang Ling Lee for an international erotic art exhibit and event, benefiting local charities.

Exploring the concept of "Empowerment vs. Exploitation", this exhibit will focus on the “sensuality and seductiveness of the female form; and how it has helped shape and mold the Internet landscape.”  Online muses such as nude models, pin up starlettes, burlesque beauties, and porn stars will serve as the inspiration for our artists’ creations. The choice of medium has been left at the discretion of the artist, allowing us to be surprised and challenged by their unique interpretation of our “Erotica meets the Internet” theme.

Fang Ling Lee,  the strikingly strange and unconventional, sometimes capricious, always exquisite artist, who specializes in sensual portraiture, and erotically charged paintings acts as curator; while DuJour Marketing utilizes their expertise to bring a new social media element to the gallery show setting.  Using a live Twitter and tweet up format; the artists, guests and media can interact and post about the art in real time.  This opportunity allows the artists to connect to new patrons and markets, and will translate into a wider reach and audience than traditional shows.

With part proceeds going to help Battered Women’s Support Services and Women’s Safety and Outreach Programs, we are aiming to develop social awareness via social media.  Our physical location, in the Railtown design district; has been carefully chosen to target a specific demographic and capitalize on the cultural hub in Vancouver, British Columbia.

In addition to our presenting sponsor Lords of Gastown, co-sponsors School of Mix, School of Remix, and Hush Magazine invite you to take part in the premiere  exhibition of XOXO Erotica – Art, Love, and the Internet.
